Macy Gray Australia Tour 2026: 21 dates across the country for her biggest regional run yet
Macy Gray announces 21 Australian dates for The Encore Tour, kicking off in Melbourne on Sept. 11 and closing at Margaret River on Oct. 24.
Macy Gray Australia Tour 2026 is her biggest yet
Macy Gray is heading back to Australia for her most expansive tour of the region to date. The Encore Tour, Back by Popular Demand, spans 21 dates across metropolitan and regional cities this spring, according to Billboard. The run opens at Melbourne's Hamer Hall on Sept. 11 and closes at Ocean's Winery in Margaret River on Oct. 24, taking in South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania, Queensland and Western Australia along the way.
New cities, new album
This time around, Gray is venturing into cities she has never played before in the country, including Shepparton, Albury, Thirroul, Tamworth, Erina, Shoal Bay, Rockhampton, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie. The tour also promises a preview of her new album, The Trouble with the Truth, making Australian audiences the first to hear those tracks performed live.
"This time, I'm heading to places I've never been before and will get to see so much more of your beautiful country," Gray said. "Australia will be the first audiences to hear tracks from the new album live."
The announcement follows a sold-out Australian run in 2024, which gives this new outing a clear sense of momentum behind it.
The catalog speaks for itself
Macy Gray broke through internationally in 1999 with "I Try," a song that peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, hit No. 1 in Australia, Ireland and New Zealand, and won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 2001 Grammy Awards. It was also nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year that same night. Her debut album On How Life Is went on to sell more than seven million copies worldwide. Since then she has released ten studio albums, won one Grammy from five nominations, and sold more than 25 million records in total.
