Tucker Wetmore headlines Billboard Country Live Night Two in Nashville
Tucker Wetmore closed out night two of Billboard Country Live at Luke Combs' Category 10 in downtown Nashville, bringing hits and a laid-back charm to the headlining slot.
Billboard Country Live wraps its second annual run
Tucker Wetmore headlined Billboard Country Live Night Two on Friday, June 5, closing out the second annual edition of the event at Luke Combs' Category 10 in downtown Nashville. According to Billboard, Wetmore had already been honored with the outlet's Rising Star award earlier in the week, and he carried that momentum into a set full of hits, laid-back charm, and what the publication called an effervescent energy.
The show, presented by Under Armour, drew a crowd that packed the main floor and two upper levels of the venue. In keeping with Category 10's long history of line dancing, portions of the audience broke into line dancing at various points through the night.
A deep lineup of rising and established artists
Wetmore was far from the only name worth watching. The Friday card also included Stella Lefty, Kaitlin Butts, Something Out West, Alana Springsteen, Braxton Keith, Ashley Cooke, Priscilla Block, and Alexandra Kay. Each artist mixed original material with cover songs, keeping the atmosphere loose and celebratory throughout.
Hosts Lauryn Snapp and Carissa Culiner kept energy high between sets, and the evening closed with an afterparty featuring Country Nights.
Night one had its own surprises
Thursday's lineup was anchored by The Red Clay Strays, with sets from The Band Perry, Chase Rice, Carly Pearce, Ty Myers, Corey Kent, Lanie Gardner, Drew Baldridge, Hunter Hayes, and The Grimm. A surprise appearance from influencer Chantel West Coast added an unexpected moment. After performing her song "Tennessee," she told the crowd she was "slightly sick of L.A." and felt she had "found her voice in country music." The crowd received her warmly.
