Killswitch Engage announce first Australia and New Zealand headline tour in eight years
The Massachusetts metalcore band will headline eight shows across New Zealand and Australia in October and November, with Sylosis joining as special guests.

Killswitch Engage Australia and New Zealand headline tour
Killswitch Engage have announced their first Australia and New Zealand headline tour in eight years, according to Billboard. The Killswitch Engage run kicks off in Auckland on October 31 and wraps in Perth on November 14, covering eight cities across both countries. English metal band Sylosis will join as special guests on all dates.
The last time the Massachusetts metalcore veterans headlined the region was in 2018. They did return in September 2024, but as support for Iron Maiden on an arena tour, so this run represents a proper headline statement.

Where the band stands
Formed in Westfield, Massachusetts in 1999, Killswitch Engage are one of the defining acts of the American metalcore movement. Their 2016 album Incarnate remains their highest-charting Billboard 200 entry, debuting at No. 6. Their most recent studio album, This Consequence, came out in February 2025. The band has earned three Grammy nominations for Best Metal Performance, for "The End of Heartache" (2005), "In Due Time" (2014), and "Unleashed" (2020).
For fans in the region, this is the biggest metalcore concert bill to come through in some time. Sylosis are in strong form and make for a genuinely complementary pairing rather than a throwaway support slot.
