Corona Capital 2026 has its headliners
The Corona Capital 2026 lineup is finally here. Gorillaz, The Strokes and Twenty One Pilots will top the bill at the 16th edition of the festival, promoter OCESA announced on May 18. The three-day event is scheduled for November 20-22 at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City, and according to Billboard, organizers expect around 240,000 attendees over the weekend.
A stacked undercard
Below the headliners, the bill runs deep. The xx, Mumford and Sons, The Offspring, Underworld, James Blake, Daniel Caesar, Lil Yachty and Lola Young are among the acts confirmed so far. More than 70 artists will make up the full program, including Pierce The Veil, The Black Crowes, Manic Street Preachers, Chvrches, Mother Mother, The Kooks, Yung Lean, Violet Grohl, Tricky and Johnny Marr.
Debuts and returns
This edition carries a handful of notable firsts. Gorillaz will play Corona Capital for the first time, appearing as part of their international Mountain Tour. Manic Street Preachers will also make their Mexican live debut. The Strokes, on the other hand, are returning to Mexico City after a four-year absence.
What the organizer said
Memo Parra, creator of Corona Capital and current director of international events at OCESA, told Billboard that the goal in every edition is to "strike a balance between legendary artists, contemporary acts, and new talents." He also pointed to Mexico's growing weight in the global live industry, describing the country as offering "passionate audiences, a rich musical culture, world-class infrastructure and a level of attendance comparable to the major entertainment capitals."
