Evanescence extends world tour to Australia and New Zealand in early 2027
The band announces six arena dates across Australia and New Zealand for March 2027, produced by Live Nation, following the release of their new album Sanctuary.
Sanctuary and a ticket to the southern hemisphere
Evanescence has just released their new album Sanctuary and wasted no time announcing an extension of their ongoing world tour. According to Billboard, the band will take their arena show to Australia and New Zealand in early 2027, with six dates produced by Live Nation spread across both countries throughout March.
The dates
The run kicks off on March 5 at Perth's RAC Arena and moves east through Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane before wrapping on March 20 at Auckland's Spark Arena. General on-sale begins June 12. Tickets and information are available at livenation.com.au, livenation.co.nz and evanescence.com.
Why this moment matters
The timing is no coincidence. Sanctuary arrived at midnight and already has momentum behind it: the single "Who Will You Follow" reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, the band's first leader on that ranking since its inception in 2020. That kind of chart performance gives the arena run a clear narrative hook.
Evanescence last visited Australia in late 2025 as special guests on Metallica's M72 World Tour, where they also played a handful of intimate sideshows. Before that, they toured the country in August 2023 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album Fallen.
A catalog worth revisiting
For anyone coming to this band fresh, the numbers put things in perspective. Evanescence has placed two albums at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, The Open Door in 2006 and the self-titled record in 2011. They have also placed five songs on the Hot 100, including three top 10 hits. Their signature track "Bring Me To Life" from 2003 peaked at No. 5.
The full world tour begins June 11 at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida, before moving through North America, the UK, Europe, Southeast Asia, Japan and eventually Central and South America later in 2027.
