The NME Magazine May/June 2026 issue is landing this week, and if previous editions are anything to go by, you will want to move fast. According to NME, every issue since the magazine returned to print has sold out in minutes. The new edition goes on sale on Thursday May 28 at 2pm BST, exclusively through retailer Dawsons.

Back in print since 2023

NME originally launched in 1952. Its weekly printed run came to an end in 2018, and in July 2023 the publication announced a return to print as a bi-monthly global magazine. The format covers new artists, features, industry insight, and reviews of music, TV, film, and gaming releases.

Artists who have appeared on the cover since the relaunch include ENHYPEN, Laufey, The Last Dinner Party, Chappell Roan, Kneecap, LE SSERAFIM, Nemahsis, Oklou, Kwn, Waylon Wyatt, BOYNEXTDOOR, Rose Gray, and Mon Rovîa.

This issue comes packaged with a copy of Guitar.com Magazine. NME and Guitar.com are sister publications under NME Networks. The cover stars of both magazines have not been revealed yet, though NME has published a crossword with hints for those who want to speculate.

The magazine is available exclusively online via Dawsons. A waiting room is already open ahead of the Thursday on-sale time.
