Keli Holiday says he would represent Australia at Eurovision
The Peking Duk co-founder told Triple M he would give Eurovision a crack, days after Delta Goodrem finished fourth in Vienna.
A hand up for the glitter circus
Keli Holiday, the Canberra-based artist who co-founded electronic duo Peking Duk, has said he would be open to representing Australia at Eurovision. The comment came during an appearance on Triple M's "Mick In The Morning" on May 27, where co-host Mick Molloy floated the idea. "No, I would give it a crack. We could do it," Holiday told the panel, according to Billboard.
Hard act to follow
The timing is notable. Delta Goodrem performed "Eclipse" at Wiener Stadthalle earlier this month, landing Australia in fourth place overall. Billboard notes that finish is the country's second-best result in Eurovision history, behind only Dami Im's runner-up placement in 2016. Bulgaria will host Eurovision 2027 after DARA won in Vienna with "Bangaranga."
Flying high with "Dancing2"
Holiday arrives at this conversation from a strong position. His viral single "Dancing2" was named song of the year at the 2025 ARIA Awards, and the parent album, "Capital Fiction," opened at No. 3 on the all-genres ARIA Albums Chart in February before topping the national Australian albums chart. A national tour in March took him deep into regional Australia and then abroad for his first North American run.
That North American leg hit a wall when Holiday was denied re-entry into the United States at the Canadian border in March, forcing him to cancel a planned show at Baby's All Right in New York City. He wrote on Instagram at the time that he had "spent all day detained at the Canadian border and denied entry back into the U.S. despite having the proper visa documentation in place." This week he said he hopes to return soon and is "gutted" about missing the NYC date.
What is next
For now, Holiday has tour dates in Australia, followed by shows in the United Kingdom and Europe through June. A Eurovision bid, if it materialises, would come later. No formal candidacy has been announced.
