IDID drops two-track Single Album [FLY!] with lead single and B-side
Starship Entertainment's seven-member boyband IDID releases the two-track Single Album [FLY!], pairing lead track 'FLY!' with B-side 'Attent!on' on May 27.
After-school energy, no manufactured polish
Starship Entertainment's IDID is back with their Single Album [FLY!], a two-track drop that landed on Wednesday, May 27. According to Billboard, the release pairs the lead track "FLY!" with B-side "Attent!on" and is framed around what the label calls "after-school energy," a sound described as unfiltered, spontaneous, and rooted in togetherness. The stated intent is to foreground natural expressions over a highly manufactured image, letting each member's individuality come through as part of a cohesive group dynamic.
Seven members, one clear direction
IDID is made up of Jang Yonghoon, Kim Minjae, Park Wonbin, Chu Yoochan, Park Seonghyeon, Baek Junhyuk, and Jeong Semin. The group was formed through the survival show Debut's Plan, which premiered in March 2025, and made their official debut in September 2025 with the EP [I did it]. That title doubles as an abbreviation of their full name and, per the label, embodies an "unshakable resolve and a drive to turn ambition into achievement."
IDID is Starship's first new boy group in roughly five years, joining a roster that includes MONSTA X, WJSN (Cosmic Girls), CRAVITY, IVE, and KiiiKiii.
Building momentum
The Single Album [FLY!] follows their previous release [PUSH BACK] and arrived after a teaser campaign built around a "Diary" trailer, in which the members are seen hanging out around the city. Starship described the direction simply: the group is "moving forward, not with force, but with clarity and ease."
It is a modest but deliberate step from a group still finding its footing on the K-pop charts. Whether "FLY!" gives them the breakout moment the rollout suggests is a question the streaming numbers will answer soon enough.
