Greeicy pone el fuego esta semana
Billboard's best new Latin music poll for this week is anchored by Greeicy and her fourth studio album, Candela, a 12-track set that the Colombian artist describes as a reflection of everything she has lived through recently. According to Billboard, the record pulls from merengue, bachata, vallenato, and kizomba, making it one of the more genre-fluid Latin releases of the season.
What makes Candela stand out
The album leans on a stacked list of collaborators, including Rawayana, Cultura Profética, and La Guru. Individual tracks span a wide tonal range: "Discúlpame Señor" goes merengue, "Estas ganas" tilts into bachata, "No Era Mío" channels vallenato, and "Donde Como y Cuando" moves through kizomba. The tracklist doubles as a greatest-hits-meets-new-material format, gathering her most recent singles alongside fresh cuts.
In a statement shared via Billboard, Greeicy said: "Everything that has happened in my life lately is right here in this album; everything that has driven me to keep going is my candle."
The rest of the ballot
The poll also features Christian Nodal's Bandera Blanca, Alvaro Diaz's Omakase, and Xavi's Dosis, plus new music from Elena Rose, Jombriel, and Fito Páez. The previous poll was won by Lenny Tavárez's "Pa' Lo Bonito" with more than 65% of the vote.
Voting closes at 11 a.m. ET on Monday, May 25. Results will be published if the poll clears 1,000 votes.
