Drink The Sea announce new album and 2026 UK and European tour

A supergroup with serious credentials

Drink The Sea, the supergroup featuring former R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck, Barrett Martin of Screaming Trees and Alain Johannes of Eleven and Queens Of The Stone Age, have announced their third studio album and an extensive tour covering the US, UK and Europe. According to NME, the band also includes Duke Garwood and Lisette Garcia.

Drink The Sea III

The record is titled Drink The Sea III and arrives on October 2 via Barrett Martin's Sunyata Records and Sony Orchard Digital Music. The album was produced by Martin and Johannes, and it was recorded on the road between October 2025 and April 2026, making use of studios in Olympia, Washington, as well as locations in Chile and Brazil. A lead single is scheduled for July 31.

This is the band's third LP in quick succession. The first two records, Drink The Sea I and Drink The Sea II, both came out last year after the group formed at the end of 2024.

Tour dates

The live run is substantial. The US leg kicks off on August 30 in Vashon Island, Washington, winding through cities including San Francisco, Austin, Denver and Salt Lake City before wrapping up in Kirkland, Washington on September 24.

UK shows begin on September 30 in Cardiff, followed by Manchester, London and Brighton. The European stretch then continues through Amsterdam, Cologne, Oslo, Stockholm, Berlin, Warsaw, Budapest and Bern before closing in Ravenna, Italy on October 23.
