BTS, Madonna and Shakira will share just 11 minutes at the 2026 World Cup halftime show
The three acts headline the first-ever World Cup final halftime show on July 19 at MetLife Stadium, and they have only 11 minutes between them.

Eleven minutes, three superstars
The 2026 World Cup halftime show now has a confirmed lineup, a confirmed venue, and a very tight clock. According to Billboard, BTS, Madonna, and Shakira will share just 11 minutes on stage during the World Cup final on Sunday, July 19, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It is the first halftime show in World Cup history, which makes the short runtime feel even more striking.
How do you split 11 minutes three ways?
The Billboard Pop Shop Podcast floated one plausible scenario: each act gets roughly three minutes for a medley of new material and greatest hits, then all three converge for a joint performance of Shakira's recently released World Cup anthem "Dai Dai" (originally also featuring Burna Boy). Whether the actual production follows that logic is anyone's guess until July.
For Shakira, who has a long history with the World Cup, the moment carries obvious weight. For BTS, it would mark one of the group's highest-profile shared stages in years. And Madonna, characteristically, is unlikely to accept a quiet three-minute window without making it count.

Elsewhere in the same Billboard podcast episode, Noah Kahan's The Great Divide spends a third consecutive week at the top of the Billboard 200, a feat no rock album had managed in over a decade. On the Hot 100, Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" reaches its 10th week at number one. Bruno Mars' "Risk It All" also returns to the top 10 following the release of a Spanish-language version of the track.
