The Book of Mormon original cast reunites for the 2026 Tony Awards performance
Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells, Rory O'Malley and Nikki M. James will perform fifteen years after the show swept Broadway's biggest night.

Fifteen years later, the cast comes back
The Book of Mormon original cast reunion is set to be one of the highlights of the 2026 Tony Awards. According to Billboard, the performance will feature nominees Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells and Rory O'Malley, alongside Tony winner Nikki M. James. The trio of creators, Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopez, will introduce the number. The ceremony takes place on Sunday, June 7, at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
A show that left a mark
The reunion carries real weight. The Book of Mormon won nine Tony Awards, including best musical, and its cast album on Ghostlight Records also took home the Grammy for best musical theater album. The 2026 show follows a tradition established at last year's ceremony, which featured a 10th anniversary performance by the original cast of Hamilton.
What else to expect on June 7
The 79th Annual Tony Awards will be hosted by P!nk, the biggest pop star to ever take on the role. The broadcast will air live coast-to-coast on CBS and stream on Paramount+, from 8 to 11 p.m. ET. Before that, Laura Benanti and Tituss Burgess will host a free pre-show, The Tony Awards: Act One, on Pluto TV from 6:35 to 8 p.m. ET.
All four nominees for best musical, The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Titaníque and Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), will perform, as will all three nominees for best revival of a musical: CATS: The Jellicle Ball, Ragtime and Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show. Additional performances are expected to be announced in the coming week.
