The Power Players franchise honors executives across major music groups, labels, distributors, management, publishing, streaming, live, agencies, and rights organizations. Nominees are put forward by peers and companies, then selected by Billboard's editors.

• Sony Music U.K. and Ireland: Chairman and CEO Jason Iley highlighted that 2026 marked the start of Sony Music's three-year stewardship of the BRIT Awards. The ceremony moved outside London for the first time, landing at Manchester's Co-op Live, with performances from Harry Styles, Wolf Alice, and Rosalia among others.

On the label side, 0207 Def Jam president Alec Boateng noted that marquee signing Stormzy dropped a new single in May 2026, teaming up with Odeal on the track "24 Hours."
