Big Thief have debuted three new songs in what may be one of the more quietly striking performance clips to surface recently. The trio played an acoustic session filmed in an Irish field, previewing tracks called "Carry," "Forgive the Dream," and "Space and Time." According to Pitchfork, the session was recorded for Belgium's Radio 1.

Three songs, no stage

The format suits Big Thief well. Adrianne Lenker's voice has always carried more weight in stripped-down settings, and an open field in Ireland is about as far from a festival stage as you can get. The three songs do not yet have a confirmed album or release context attached to them, but the fact that the band chose this moment to debut new material is worth paying attention to.
